FIELD SUPPORT / PRACTICAL GUIDES

When a control does not respond.

A calm way to separate a power issue, a connection issue, and an unfamiliar setting.

CHECK 01

Check the current state

Look at what the display shows and note the last action you took. Confirm that you are using the control described for that function in the supplied guide. Avoid repeatedly pressing different buttons while trying to identify the problem.

CHECK 02

Check power and visible condition

Inspect the remote for visible damage, debris around controls, or an exhausted power source. Follow the supplied instructions before removing batteries, cleaning, or charging. Do not continue using damaged equipment.

CHECK 03

Separate local and caller functions

Note whether a local function such as the light responds, and whether the problem is limited to caller playback. That observation can help you describe the issue. It does not prove that a particular part has failed.

CHECK 04

Record a useful description

Write down the function, observed behavior, and checks already made. Include what the display showed, rather than only saying it did not work. Keep passwords, payment information, and precise trip locations out of a support note.

A useful next step.
